Jordan Adam Barnett-Parker
I am Brooklyn-born and Camden-raised. I like to think my work combines the chutzpah of New York with the beauty of Maine. When I took my first ceramic arts and jewelry course at age 16, I was immediately enthralled with the art of metalsmithing. I knew I needed a mentor who could help me find my way through the jewelry world. Lucky for me, world-renowned goldsmith Michael Good happened to have a studio nearby. I worked as his apprentice for nearly five years, then decided to continue my studies at Goldschmiedeschule Uhrmacherschule in Pforzheim, Germany. After completing the two-year program in 2008, I worked for the famed watchmaker Chopard in Germany’s Black Forest. Eager to come home and establish myself in the States—I worked for several prominent metal artists across the country, from Colorado to New Hampshire. Returning to my roots in 2012, I set up shop in Lincolnville and Jordan Adam Designs was born. I love my work. From helping young artists discover the joys of metalwork to designing wedding bands for newly-engaged couples, I feel it’s truly a gift to have a hand in not just precious metals, but precious moments!
